This earliest of the almanacs (of 6 or 7) in the Collection, published in San Francisco, lacks a book catalogue in the rear that the 1894 one by the same publisher in San Francisco possesses, q.v., but there are ads for bookstores and for newspapers, both in San Francisco - La Voce, La Scintilla Italiana, L'Elvezia and a humor magazine, Il Ficcanaso (The Busybody) - and in New York (L'Eco d'Italia, Il Progresso Italo-Americano, and Il Repubblicano, a monthly), see pp. 141-142. See advertisement for M.G. Tonini's Libreria Italiana, at No. 26 Montgomery Avenue (p. 73) and other almanac-like information, such as a monthly phases of the moon, and saint days for each day of the month.
