Title

Nuovissima Grammatica Accelerata: Italiana-Inglese ed Enciclopedia Popolare con Pronunzia. Divisa in 11 Parti.[Newest Accelerated Italian-English Grammar and Popular Encyclopedia, with pronunciation. Divided in 11 parts]. New York: Libreria De Martino, Inc./Italian Book Company, [1963].

Description

The original (1896) edition was self-published by the author; appears later to have sold the copyright to the IBC, and became a corporate officer of that publisher. De Gaudenzi's grammar was among the very first grammars composed in the Italian community in New York; Zanolini's was in the same decade, but Augusto Bassetti "beat" both of them, coming out with two grammars (far less comprehensive than De Gaudenzi's) and a dictionary, from 1885-1887.

I do not know anything about the F. Tudisco who revised this work from the De Gaudenzi original in the 1960s.

The last event recounted in the history that forms the last section is the death of Pope John XXIII, in 1963; hence, my estimate of the date of 1963.

See discussion of the 1914 edition of this work by De Gaudenzi.

Angelo De Gaudenzi

Publisher

The Italian Book Company held the copyright, but the bookstore where one could find a copy, in the 1960s, was the Libreria de Martino, as the Italian Book Company had ceased to exist. Angelo De Martino ran the IBC for decades, and continued in business, along with his daughter, for some time after the demise of the IBC.
