Description
The composer, Guido Trento (b. Rome 1892- d. San Francisco 1957), emigrated to the U.S. at a very young age, was primarily an actor in Italian films, also engaged in dubbing of films. He was interned along with other Italian Americans at a minimum security concentration camp in Missoula, Montana, where quite a few of the inmates for a few years intermarried with Americans who lived in Missoula, about which camp much has been written.
Part of the proceeds of the sale of this sheet music were said on the cover of the sheet music to go to the "Dopo Scuola Italiana."
One other item in the Collection was printed a couple of decades before by Canessa, located on Montgomery Street in San Francisco, Per la libertà! (dalle mie conversazioni col Conte di Rudio, complice de Felice Orsini) [For Liberty! (of my conversations with Count di Rudio, accomplice of Felice Orsini)]. San Francisco: Canessa Printing Co., 1913.
