Title
Il banchetto dei cancri [The Banquet of the Evil Ones]. New York: Libreria Editrice dei Lavoratori Industriali del Mondo, 1925.
Description
This is a collection of anti-fascist articles Borghi had published in the then New York-based Il Proletario about Matteotti’s assassination by Mussolini’s blackshirts. It is introduced by his preface written from Paris in June 1925.
Both the reprinted articles and preface were written by Borghi prior to his flight to America in 1926.
The cover art is deliciously gruesome. The initials appear to be "AD" or "FD." The cover art contains a sort of subtitle following the title, namely, "(dopo Matteotti)", but as that is not repeated on the title page (see photo) it does not enter into the bibliographic description.
Borghi's work was reviewed favorably (under the heading "Avete letto[?]" - "Have you read[?]") in the December 15, 1925 issue of Zarathustra, q.v. in the Collection.
