Title
La scintilla: canti popolari [The Spark: Popular Songs]. Palermo: Stab. Tip. Pietro Nocera, 1883.
Description
It is a guess, but perhaps a good one, that the Palermitan who published this 1883 work in that Sicilian city - with the unconventional (for Italians) last-name-first-name - is the same author who would, as late as more than four decades later, in America, write about Sicilian knights in I tre cavalieri di Trinacria, and the crazy swirl of life in the largest city in the U.S. in I misteri di New York.
However, given that it was published 46 years prior to the later of the two New York-based works published by the same named author, it's possible that La scintilla was published by the father of the New York writer.
